Q: What do I need to bring to the pageant?
A: You don’t need much, just your application and a smile to take on a great day!
Q: Does the pageant cost money?
A: No. The Pageant of Hope is free to you and your children thanks to our amazing sponsors.
Q: What should my child wear to the pageant?
A: Your child can wear anything that the feel comfortable in. Most children wear a Sunday’s Best Dress or Tie, but your child is welcome to come in whatever makes them feel best. We have had participants in everything from Tuxedo’s to Halloween costumes!
Q: Are other people allowed to come to the pageant?
A: Yes! The more the merrier, the contestants love hearing the fans cheer for them and are always looking for a familiar face in the crowd. Some parents even make signs to hold during the event- we love the spirit!
Q: Is this a competition event?
A: No! The main focus is to celebrate each and every participant. The “judges panel” assign a unique title to each participant and does not use any form of scoring system.
Q: Is there a talent portion?
A: Depends! In the past, we have had enthusiastic children and teens who perform a dance, or sing a song. If this is your child, let us know and we will try to work this in to the program.
Q: I want to donate on the day!
A: Yes please! All donations are tax deductible, so bring a check or cash. This is not a requirement.
Q: My child’s sister or brother wants to participate as well. Can they?
A: This is a case by case decision as well. If we have the space for it, we will accept brothers and sisters of the participant. It depends on numbers. Don’t be afraid to ask!
Q: I want to hold my own Pageant of Hope in my hometown. How can I do this?

Q: Can we take photos at the event?
A: In most cases yes!! We want you to have memories to last a lifetime!
